Here at John Norris we all love to get out and about with our canine friends, and with summer approaching its time to check the diary and make sure you can attend all the fabulous dog-friendly events happening across the UK.

We've done the leg-work for you and made a list of must-see events you and your doggy friends should attend over the coming months, and some of our most popular products to treat your pup to this summer.

We love to support our local shows and find these especially welcoming of our doggy pals! Why not pop in to see us too while you’re in the area!

30^th June 2019 Keswick Scruffs

Cumbria’s answer to Crufts returns for another year, and what’s more entry to the show field is absolutely FREE! The show is part of the Keswick Festival which runs from Friday 28th June to Sunday 30th June 2019. If you and your pooch are feeling competitive, there is a plethora of classes to enter, there’s bound to be one to suit you.

 

Saturday 6^th July Skelton Show

With an attendance of 10,000 it is the largest village show in the North of England, and hosts a variety of trade stands, food halls and arts and crafts – all of which will welcome your dog with open arms! There is also a selection of dog classes if you fancy your chances in the show ring!

 

20^th July 2019 Penrith Show

Just 30mins walk from our front door or with a free park and ride service from Penrith Town Centre, it couldn’t be easier to attend our local show. With a wide spectrum of competition classes for farm livestock, horses, rabbits, poultry (plus many more) and a host of local trade stands, food hall and rural crafts.

 

10^th and 11th August Lowther Show 

With this stunning location playing host to the Clay Shooting Festival, Lowther Hound Show and Chudleys Gundog Championship, what better way to get in the zone just before the start of the new shooting season! With trade stands including BASC, Chefs Demo station as well as the Horse Driving trails, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained!

• 20^th and 21^st July – Edinburgh and Glasgow
• 4^th August - Bath

Beth’s Dog Show

A series of fun dog show events across the South-East in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity and German Shepherd Rescue South, including:

• 30^th June 2019 Kent Life, Maidstone
• 20^th July 2019 Charity Fun Dog Show, West Malling Kent

7^th July 2019 Dogs Trust Fun Day, Manchester

A series of events throughout UK this summer. Activities include a Fun Dog Show, Human and Doggy Refreshments Stands, Tombola, Craft & Gift Stalls, Raffle and much more.

 

28^th July 2019 Weeton Show, North Yorkshire

A fabulous country show with a variety of dog classes

 

2^nd August 2019 to 4^th August 2019 Dog Lovers Festival, Elvaston Castle
