  • Description

The Guideline Aeon Fly Reel combines timeless design with modern innovation and a state of the art drag system. It is a perfect fusion of beauty, durability, and performance, delivering both style and function on the water.

The striking front face of the Aeon features a Fibonacci array of micro-diameter circular porting, a fluted bezel, and organic curves, delivering an overall more elegant form. The rear frame showcases refined details with a contrast between matte and gloss textures, as well as dual-anodised colour work on the drag indicator. These elements merge symbiotically, creating an aesthetic that we believe embodies a new, luxurious, elegant and timeless Scandinavian design language. The name "Aeon" originates from the Greek word "aion," which means "eternity".

Guideline's modern, high-powered carbon braking system delivers 7.5 kilograms of braking force, providing ample sealed carbon power for taming the wild leviathans of the migratory world. Anti-snag design features on the spool nut and drag knob, thanks to an innovative winged design, ensure easy use while minimising line catches on the water. The full-frame design offers a more traditional reel weight, intentionally offsetting and counter-balancing heavier classic-action rods, but suits perfectly on moderns rods as well. Lastly, the acoustics of the Aeon reels have been precisely tuned to produce a sound reminiscent of a classic reel, with an instantly recognizable Guideline tone on every fish.

An additional feature of this reel is the engraved line capacity on the inside of the reel foot, ensuring you'll always know exactly how much backing and line the reel can accommodate. This thoughtful detail eliminates any guesswork and adds to the reel's practicality. Each reel comes complete with a premium neoprene reel case, beautifully accented with leather and finished with either brass or chrome details, offering both style and protection.

The Aeon reels are meticulously CNC-machined from premium aircraft-grade T6061 aluminium, guaranteeing exceptional durability and impeccable performance on the water. Designed to endure the rigors of regular use, these reels deliver flawless functionality and a long-lasting fishing experience.

        FITTING GUIDE AND ADVICE

For Guideline Wading Boots, please order one size larger than your normal UK shoe size.
Taking accurate body measurements is one of the keys to a great fit; all you need is a tape measure.
While it's easiest to have someone else take your measurements, you can also do it yourself.
Stand in front of a mirror to make sure you have the tape measure in the right position. Ideally, you should be measured wearing only your underwear or close fitting clothing.
Because the body is made of soft tissue, it can be a bit difficult to know exactly how tight to pull the tape around the body.
The tape should be a bit snug, but not tight-it should not "dig in" or make an indentation in the body. It should not be loose, either! Just wrap the tape around the area of the body being measured and hold it in place. You should be able to put a finger behind the tape, but no more than that.
To measure the length of the foot, stand with your back against a wall and put the foot so the heel touches the wall. Then take a measurement at the position of your longest toe. Do this with a bare foot.
Please note! All measurements are presented in centimeters and are measures of your own body, not the garment.
These charts are only a guide to find the size you need. Trying them on, in real life, is always the best way to find a perfect fit.
The fit of fishing clothing is not only about size of your body. It also comes down to personal preferences of how loose or slim you want them.
If you often fish during the cold weather season and have the need for extra base and fleece-layers, remember to allow for this when you choosing your  size.
