Barbour began in 1894 in the Market Place in South Shields, in the North East of England, where it remains today. This hugely successful family business, continues to trade from the Barbour headquarters in South Shields and whilst products are both sourced and sold around the world, it still manufactures and repairs many of their classic wax jackets in the factory in Simonside.
